New member Tom W.

Hi, all. Finally decided to join. I used to build model airplanes a lot, but I haven't in recent years. I'm dying to build some German bombers, such as the two Roden Staaken RVI's. I also have a built-up Aurora Gotha that I bought at a garage sale and hope to completely redo.

If I get back to modeling, I'll be sure to post photos.

Cheers.

Tom: thanks for taking the plunge and enlisting. Always good to have another modeler on board. This is the place to be for all your modeling questions, tips, and hints.

Howdy From Ike Eisenhower's Hometown

Howdy Tom, If you are in to models and modelling this is THE place to hang out. We have an entire section dedicated to the modeler's art. Also we are blessed to have some resident experts such as Ross Moorhouse and Tim West who can give you some pointers along the way.

I have no talent for models but I recently posted a thread in the modelling section that tells about several Osprey books that are on sale at Edward R. Hamiliton Bookseller. At least one of theme deals with scratch modelling.

Anyway sir, I am a retired soldier with 23-years service who used to haunt the Mojave Desert not too far away from you. BTW, I own a decent collection of WWI photographs that I share with the folks here in the Forum. So if you ever need a photo for a project just give me a shout and I might be able to help you out. VR, Scott Price
