Hi, I was googling for info on US aero squadrons and The Aerodrome popped up several times. I've always had an interest in WWI aviation but never dwelled on it much until lately. I've decided to try and fill in the blanks which the St Louis records center gave me when I requested one of my grandfather's service records which of course was among those lost in the famous fire. He served from Feb 1918 until Jan 1919 when he was discharged as a private at Camp Dodge, IA. I know he was Army Air Service because of a portrait I have of him in uniform which clearly shows the AAS enlisted collar brass. I'm currently trying to find out which squadrons demobilized at Camp Dodge in the hopes that this knowledge will narrow down the search field some. I'm assuming he didn't serve overseas since no family member has ever mentioned it. That's all I know at this point and I'm looking forward to whatever hints, tips and info I can gain from The Aerodrome.

Later,
Mark
