1st Post Greeting

Hello Everyone, My name is Scott and I live in Upstate NY with my wife and 4 boys. I've always been a model/diecast car collector but a few years back I picked up a simple 1/72 aircraft kit and helped my oldest son(now 10) build it. Little by little I've been getting more into aircraft models which lead me here. Once in a while I'll pick up a large group of built models. In a few cases I end up with no idea as to what type/scale/version a certain plane is. This forum has been a great help so far, great work in the "models" section. I plan to post some pics in the models section with hopes of finding out what some of my models replicate.

Scott...welcome to the 'drome. This is a great place for all your WW1 and modeling questions with many experts in residence.

I spent Saturday afternoon with several fine folks from the Buffalo NY area. They were in attendance at the Erie Scale Modeler's show in McKean Pa.

Thanks for the reply Bill. I think my friend Jason was down that way this weekend. Is McKean near Pittsburg? He's(Jason) quite the car model guru in the Buffalo area.

Scott: Pittsburgh itself is approx 125 miles south of McKean (Erie).

I did notice an unusually high number of car model entries at the show. The vendors as well were mostly of the 4 wheel persuasion.

WW1 was weakly represented in number only. What models that were there, were superb specimens.
