Belated g'day from Melbourne

Sorry guys it appears I jumped in at the deep end and posted a thread before saying g'day to one and all, quite remiss of me.

After wading through a lot of posts on the site I realise I can offer very little in the way of knowledge capital or skill sets, however, if anyone's passing through Melbourne Airport I can usually scrounge up a cheap(ish) coffee and would be happy to shoot the breeze while you wait for your flight / cab ride home - work permitting.

In the meantime, I'm tipping more often than not, I'll be with the other 'lurkers' who undoubtedly enjoy reading the enlightening and often entertaining posts of our more learned colleagues.

Cheers,

D.G.

Ask Away, The Smart Guys Here Know All the Answers

Dear Drake, Welcome to the Forum. I am not kidding we have some of the world's leading WWI aviation historians and technical experts among the regulars at this site. I am amazed at how much knowledge there is to be gleaned here if you take the time to ask.

I am a retired Army MP brigade commander and have loved WWI aviation since I was a small boy building balsa wood and tissue airplanes.

Like I said in an earlier post, my Dad was a Marine infantryman in WWII who took part in three island campaigns. He had nothing but respect for the Diggers and Kiwis that he saw in action and befriended. After the war, dad got his private pilot's license but my eyes were too bad to even try. If I can help you give me a shout since I have several images of pilots and planes and I share what I have. VR, Scott Price, a.k.a. Roadhog
