Thanks John for the advice. It has narrowed down what i can talk about which is quite a relief. The amount of information out there on the Red Baron is very overwhelming considering, that there is not many accepted facts.

The Legend itself, is part MvR, part Propaganda, and part individual opinion.
I had the preconceived notion of a chivalrious gentleman, who used to court women. Now, i understand that, if it was anyone that i was describing it would be more Boelke or earlier WW1 pilots, rather than Richthofen.

Thank you as well FokkerJ.
I haven't had much time to research MvR, i chose him, after realising there was just so much information on Stalingrad of WW2, so it wouldn't fit in the 2000 word limit. This left me with about 4 weeks left for the MvR Research and essay writing. Not nearly enough time. i wasn't able to use any of the 2 weeks due to my Higher School Certificate Studies + Work. So im left with whatever research i had done before, and 2 weeks worth of time to write it in. Unfortunately not enough time at all. But the life of MvR is definitely quite interesting and my research of his life will definitely not end here.
also
Can it be agreed upon that the Legend of MvR mainly describes a
Devoted to the Fatherland and War,
"hit with the ladies" gentleman, who accomplishes through hard work
And an Ace of Aces --> Not only one of the best, but maybe the best air ace of WW1, who led his men fearlessly into battle

This is not to stir up debate everybody who is reading this, im just considering what the true and concise Legend of the Red Baron. Any improvements to this list are welcome, as many books, have different variation of the Red Baron. Also, maybe a pre-ww2 perspective of the Legend would be better, as MvR was also used as propaganda of the Third Reich.

Thanks

Dani

So john, i should quote the Red Baron legacy that i know..?
That does make sense, and it does help me, as there is know definitive Red baron Legend. The legend has its roots in what inspires the German people, okay it all makes sense now, Thank you John !

Also, does anybody have the quote in “The Red Knight Of the Air” by Floyd Gibbons, that MvR's mother talks about How he may have loved and had a lover..?

Thanks

Dani
