Greetings Montana in the USA

I just joined after reading and searching this website. I am mostly a 1/32 modern aircraft modeler so I decided to take a break and build a few WWI models. I recently bought a Encore 1/32 scale kit #32003 Fokker F.I. Voss. I do have a few questions after searching here this kit represents a preproduction aircraft where as a Dr.1 is a production aircraft. Is there any chance of making this kit a Dr.1? Is the cowling the only change or is there other things I need to change to? Or should I just build it as a preproduction aircraft? Dan
