Germans' New Type of Aeroplane

GERMANS' NEW TYPE OF AEROPLANE.

Extremely Fast Machine Declines Combat.

American Front, Friday
An entirely new type of enemy airplane has been reported by patrols. It is extremely handy to manoeuvre. Another machine, of which only a few have been seen, is on the lines of an improved Pfalz.
It is apparently extremely fast, but, so far, it has not accepted combat from our planes, and consequently nothing can be said of its manoeuvring qualities.
The Germans seem to be adopting the parachute as a means of escape from a damaged plane. Yesterday an observer was seen to jump from a plane and descend by parachute, and the same thing was also seen on the 13th.—Reuter Special.
