Baldeagle,
The Waco banking in the mist at sunrise is my favorite! Great pics and stories. No doubt that's Frank Pavliga's Pietenpol. Will you guys be barnstorming this summer?

Sold your Fleet?!

More like passed it along. Tough to sell memories and experiences, but the hardware that produced them can be sold. I have the hardware now. The obviously tremendous experiences Andrew had owning and flying this great old airplane are still his - I have to make my own.....

move over little yellow cub!

Well then, that's alright. I approve. If I can't own it, at least it's going to a good home and staying in the "family," - the aerodrome family, that is. Congratulations One Arm, Mike! BTW, the very best taildragger landing I ever made, (one of the few good ones, at least), was in Carl Pesceral's Fleet. Wanted to buy one immediately after that.

Sleeping in the alfalfa fields...ah, the stuff of summer flying dreams.

At $3/gal for auto gas, what's the price up to on av-gas these days?

That beautiful Fleet didn't at one time belong to Wayne Edsell of Bozemn, Montana did it?

No, I think Wayne still has his, which was once based in College Park, MD at the flying school. The museum there would like to have it, but Wayne doesn't want to part with it. Mike's Fleet was restored in the '80s by a guy in Illinois, then went to Florida for many years, until I bought it.

Okay. Then was it Carl Pescarel's in St Augustine, FL??
I got rides in both Wayne's and Carl's Fleets in 1988.
