Thumbs up

I have a bunch of detailed walkaround pics of this airplane that I will post 1 or 2 at a time.It was known as the Hollywood Fokker for its many movie roles at the time.

From D4D to 4000

The first pics are of theTravelair as it exists today as a 4000 model with an old style paintjob. The last pic and all other pics from now on will be of the airplane as we originally re-built it in the 60's ,all red, two holer, with dual controls and chrome struts etc...
These mainly cosmetic changes were for museum display purposes only. The airplane flew with a full C of A until just a few years ago when parts for the old radial engine became scarce.Hopefully she will once again take to the air where she truely belongs. It was my fathers wish that she fly as long as possible.
She was originaly donated, by my family, to the Canadian Warplane Heritage in Hamilton Ontario and now resides at the Reynolds Museum in Alberta.
Cheers! John.
