Lafayette Escadrille- 1929

My boss brought in an amazing photo album. The cover was leather and painted with the Lafayette Escadrille indian head insignia, complete with swastika.
Inside were bunches of photos of when the squadron was stationed at Selfridge in Michigan. Lots of different aircraft.
Just to be nice, I scanned in most of the pages and posted them, just as they were so you can flip through the photo album, too.
Here's the link:

Enjoy.

Thank you. Lots of interesting stuff in there.

I'm sure someone will provide an ID and history for the single engine seaplane.

The seaplane is NC127M, a Fokker F-11 Flying Yacht owned by Gar Wood, a Detroit native (the photos are from Selfridge Field, Michigan), who was at that time the premier speedboat racer in America.
