HAPPY BIRTHDAY M!!!

Don't worry about turning 30. The parts don't start falling off until 40.

ah, yes. that's right. clean air, regular excercise, diet cola, fine friends, good teenage children (most of the time) and no possessions... 'cept this little computer and my many fine paintings...and my two old cars...ah don't need nothing else...

Like your pal above, I am happy to wait for the next installments so long as you haven't given up (I'm sure anyone who could make that journey is not the kind to give up now). Meanwhile, I finished my own book and now it is in a big pile of unread manuscripts on my agent's desk!! Fingers crossed please, as mine are for you...

That Richtofen quote is a harsh one, huh? But that is the stuff of heroes, I guess...

I hope you are well and keep on writing, won't you? Please!!

Rory

That is nothing that an old married guy like myself can either verify or comment on!

Have a great one!

rory, and everyone else, thanks for waiting. yes, i was still hibernating. was also focusing all my energies on another related writing project. if you get ww1 aero magazine, you should see some of the fruits of that recent project in issue #199 - my article on cole & rita palen and one or two of my photos i took of them when i visited ORA for five days at the start of the fifth month of my journey.

Array of Aviators

AAC CL, you certainly had an impressive array of aviators on your journey. I hope you give some serious consideration to offering your archive to NASM when that time comes. Your epic journey was an historic event which happened at a unique time when many legendary aviators were still very active and you seem to have managed to find quite a few of them.

Best,
cfgray
