Srecko,
Where/When was that photo taken? It's interesting and I'm fascinated by it. The background of the photo looks like it was taken out at sea. Perhaps taken onboard the USS RANGER (CV-4) or some other escort/light carrier? Obviously it's in the European Theater of Operation hence the swastikas "kill" stencils. Buz

I have somewhere more info about this. This is Europe and this is interesting as well Hellcat did not have much contact with German airplanes, especially not the USA pilots. Hope I will get info soon and upload it here
