large WWII model nears completion

P-51D-5-NA at 60% of actual size. Epoxy glass over foam, with wood frame/box fuselage and spar. Span is 22'-3", weighs about 350lbs.

Thumbs up

Is it made to fly (R/C)? Or as a weather vane on your house?

Either one would still be cool!

Originally , my Mustang was concieved as a museum display. I believe it is very accurate in outline and sections, using NAA parts and assembly drawingsfor reference. It has been designed as a suspended static display. It would not need much internal redesign to be a flying type, although the cockpit would have to be widened! It's about the size of the old Moony Mite.
