Goodness gracious, those are some VERY rare photos. I thought I'd seen a lot of CV pix but most of these are new to me. Please keep 'em coming!

Jim- my bitter problem is that I don't know what I have... Its true, if image does not have caption on back side, I don't know what is on it. So can you tell me more about the type of carriers you said above?

Also I never hear before for Paddle Wheel Aircraft Carriers...

Cheers

Sorry for the delay--I didn't get a notice of any post in here after mine. Must've forgotten to subscribe.

I was asking about Japanese aircraft carriers (Imperial Japanese Navy). Man, how to describe them? Akagi and Kaga would be easiest, as they had triple flight decks until conversion left them each with one. This was atop a double-hangar that was very tall; the two ships were large and bulky-looking beasts with diminutive islands.

Not really very descriptive after all, eh? Here, you can see some photos: Japanese Aircraft Carriers
