this is staggering
go to google maps, turn on the satellite feature & type in "amarg near usa" in the search box..... Google Maps alternatively you can go to the bbc website but you don't quite get the same sense of scale.... BBC News - The Boneyard: World's 'biggest' plane cemetery up close

Driving from Tucson eastward you can see part of it from the freeway.
It's like driving over the bridge from Martinez, CA to Benecia. You can see a bunch of mothballed ships in Carquinez Strait. Just like Arizona, but with lots more water and lots more greenery. And lots less heat.
