Can they look any more foolish??????

They're not just firing blanks because whether or not Chris is found innocent, he still has to shell out thousands of dollars in legal fees. He's got a family, he doesn't need to be spending his money on this BS!

Am I correct in assuming that the Boards legal tab would be picked up and paid by the Aerodrome's funds therefore not incurring them personally any costs?

I've had the bad feeling the idea is to harass and humiliate anybody and everyone connected to Rhinebeck outside of their circle thus making way for more of their same thinking friends. (?) I could be wrong, but it seems that they keep going to extraordinary measures to insure that those involved would never want to be involved again. Police escorts off the property? Advance notice to step foot onto the grounds? Legal suits stemming back twenty years? Seems pretty extreme to me.

Salute All,
Steve

Probably not. I think by pressing charges, the government is actually prosecuting the case. So the Aerodrome would not incur any costs.
I think....

Has anybody had any direct contact with the museum ive sent several e-mails asking questions nobody returns them i even e-mailed stanley segalla and he wouldnt get back to me Stanley has shattered my opinion of him. Every opening weekend for the past several years i rent out the rhinebeck motel for over 20 of my friends and family i still plan on going this year why dont we get as many of us concerned members as we can and all meet there this year for opening weekend in Cole Palens memory and the dedicated volunteers (which sounds like they all got fired ) and show support for the museum and how extremely upset we are with the board and the way its run. Any volunteers lets go. This bb chat isnt getting very far its easy to sit here and type letters saying how unhappy we are lets go face to face on opening day.It would be nice if some of the past members would help out like Brian Coughlin or other people who have been involved in the dream of a man who lived his life to create ORA. Step up people lets go to opening day.If others are interested i will post my phone number. To all the board members especially stanley Segalla thanks for not answering my emails for over 32 years ive considered rhinebeck a second home now i feel like its a failing organization due to unexperienced board members.Sorry about the spelling when im pissed i dont type so well. Long live Cole Palen. Matt Bryan Sharon Massachussets

MattyB, you bring up some interesting points. I had written letters to the board last year and never heard back. I also talked to a couple of other people who have been trying phone calls and emails to the Aerodrome and not had any response. This lack of communication has been going on for months now and it is not professional. Has anyone else tried to communicate with the Aerodrome lately?
I too share your anger at our attempts to find resolution being ignored. Along with joegertler, Paul Revere, CAL and DavisD1W, I am outraged at what has been done to hard working volunteer Chris Rogine. It’s good to read in Stolen Cub’s posting that people who wrote to the state are getting responses to their letters, and that public opinion can affect change.

Per Mattyb's comment -

I emailed the Aerodrome last Spring to get status on the Spirit project and never received any kind of reply. That didn't impress me.

If Tom Polapink had still been there I'll bet you would've gotten a reply...

A good law-abiding, formal, show of support at the aerodrome might be in order. I am against a hot-tempered lynch mob scene. Long and successful tradition in this country by peaceful protest.

When Tom Polapink was there, you could send the Aerodrome an email at night and most of the time you would receive a reply back within 15 minutes. That is because Tom was there on his own time just trying to stay ahead of the demands placed on him by the Board.

He also ALWAYS appreciated the work the volunteers did and made it a point to thank them. If you saw him at the Aerodrome, he would spend as much time with you as needed, and made you feel you were the most important person there at the time - just like Cole. The Board should take a lesson on good business practice from men like Tom and Cole.
