The opening day show of support sounds like a good idea. I was thinking about something of that sort during the weekend of the Jamboree but I don't know how Mid Hudson R/C views all of this. I would not want to jeopardize that relationship in any manner shape or form. Has anyone contacted the leadership of Mid Hudson R/C get their thoughts and ascertain their level of concern? I would assume that the Jamboree is the largest of the air show season...

It is possible we might be talking about two different things?
Having read through many of the happenings posted on this board over the past few days, it sounds like clarification is seriously needed as to what's been driving some of these events. Forgive me if as a newbie to this forum I'm asking something everyone else is aware of - but have the folks managing the Aerodrome given any explanation or public statement regarding these many events?
What I'm coming to is that a "peaceful protest" and a "show of support" sound like two very different things to me. While both are benevolent and responsible, one seems to imply "we're against" and one "we're for."
Speaking for myself - I'd like to hear or read a statement from the Aerodrome that addresses all of these events and concerns. Does anyone know if something like this might already exist somewhere?
If it doesn't - perhaps another path to consider is a Press Conference before the opening day show? In this way, the management would have the opportunity to openly address these concerns one-by-one for everyone. This might really help out.
I'm not local to the Aerodrome at all - I'm out of state. But perhaps there are there local newspapers or broadcasts that might be interested?

The peacefull protest and show of support are for the same cause.
The show of support would be for this movement trying to clean house of the current (mis) mangement.
An enmasse arrival with a local paper in tow (on opening day) seems like an interesting idea. I can hardly imagine what kind of idiotic response THAT would provoke from these guys!!!
Many of us on this forum are well known to these guys. Personal attacks on us for intimidation purposes are expected. I believe that is the purpose of the "investigations" of Chris, Scott and Ken. I believe more will follow.
You just have to wonder what is being hidden that would make these people take such desperate steps to shut people up....
All
Glad to hear that Palmquist's office is at least acknowlaging the letters.
Do not expect anything more than that because they can't say anything else.

Unfortunately, this has been my thought from the very beginning. As the trouble became more clear, I've been wondering who will personally gain from all this. I know it's not us members and volunteers. Along with the rest of the world, we are the losers in all this. And I'm just an outsider looking in and I can sense something stinks.
Salute,
Steve

As anyone who has followed this thread knows, while we would very much enjoy hearing the board's position, they are either unable or unwilling to articulate it. So for those who have suggested we should ask them their side of the matter - we have, repeatedly. The answer has always been consistent silence.
The other side of the matter however, is being advanced with some energy. New York State is responsive to our inquiries and while they have quite a bit of material already, they are asking for any and all that can be provided. We must act now - do not hold back your opinion or what facts you may know. Your letter may be the one that turns the tide.
David Palmquist has requested he would like have everyone's point of view who was involved with the Aerodrome. It does not matter if you are a former worker, you will not be viewed as just a "disgruntled employee." He emphasized "that no one should be afraid to send a letter to his office." Your letters will help him put together the whole story, which he in turn will present to the management.
If you have pertinent facts, press articles, or anything else of relevance, please make sure that he gets it. You can send it to him directly or send it to me and I will forward it to him. Please forward this email to other Aerodrome people, or call them directly. Please write those letters, let's keep Cole's legacy going!
David Palmquist, Head of Chartering Program
Department of Education
Cultural Education Center, Room 3090
Albany, NY 12230
For those of you who have alrady sent along your letters, you deserve the thanks of all who have been wronged by this chain of events. For thos who have not yet written - please do so. Your voice, your opinion, your support - matter.

MattyB -
Saying "hi" is good - but best to be organized, calm and with a couple of pre-briefed and interested news crews!

I doubt that all of the board members will be there on opening day. In the past, they ALL only showed up when there was a free meal.

Yeah CAL, it's amazing how certain board members who have so much money, can be so enthusiastic about free pizza! You know, if it wasn't for Paul Richards getting a donation for I think $25,000, the board would have raised less money than they have spent on pizza, blue blazers, and fleece lined jackets!
What a wonderful board!
