Ignore that
Personal animus aside, we can probably ignore Pierre or anyone else who calls to question those who were central to Rhinebeck's success in the past - unless of course he or she shows the guts to identify themselves so as to reveal the underlying reason(s) for their position.
Otherwise, it's simply an empty bit of rhetoric designed to question the integrity of anyone involved with the efforts to remove the current board.
So Pierre - do you have a name or do you consider your position too tenuous and indefensible to reveal it?

Who's on first?
I have a question. I see on the Skytypers.com website that their team, which includes ORAA pilots Daly and Record, have an air show this upcoming weekend on Sept. 6-7 in Winston-Salem, NC. That same weekend, the Iron Eagles team that consists of Bill Gordon and Billy Segalla, have airshows both days in Westover, MA. Who will be flying at ORA next weekend?

my guess is that bill king will be flying all aeroplanes in the airshow, and playing the parts of both the evil black baron and sir percy goodfellow in the dogfight scene.

That's OK. A good post is worth repeating.
Sept. 6-7 also happens to be the weekend of the Jamboree.
Salute,

A nice thought but don't hold your breath waiting. Might be a good time to use my free airshow pass to ease the pain.
Come to think of it, my membership is coming due and I haven't received a renewal yet. Hmm.
Salute,
Steve

i'm still waiting for my renewal notice, too, from three years ago. i call them and send e-mails through their website two or three times a year, asking for one to be sent to me. guess they are too busy to be bothered with former members.

Just came back from ORA model meet this weekend. They flew the vintage show on Sunday, Saturday was rained out.
NO WW-1 show and a lot of disappointed people in the crowd walking out after.
Talking with Bill King, seems the WW-1 pilots were elsewhere flying in an air-show. Makes one wonder where ORA priorities are?
What they did do is have 8 one third scale, some were not, R/C models fly around-and-around for 10 minutes, looked like pylon racing. They did shoot up some fireworks to simulate Archie. Maybe this is what ORA will come to?
During the show they had their cops and robber routine, watching it one would think no one had any direction on what to do or how to time everything that was to happen .... geeeee guys!
If it was not for the Flying Farmer and the TP cutting act, I think most people in the crowd would have left early.
They had a new production Great Lakes flying in a shiny new white and silver paint, looked very out of place there flying with the old Tiger Moth and Fleet. People go there to see old airplanes fly, not new ones. I sure do.
Looks like the Camel is being worked on in the back closed hanger by where they store the Jenny, which also did not fly either.
Neiuport wings are in the back open Jenny hanger too. No signs of work being done on her. Avro not ready to fly. On a good note, they did not taxi the un-covered Spirit!
The model meet was great on both days, even with the rain storm on Saturday afternoon, lots of fantastic models there, the real airshow ..... well, glad Cole did not see it.

Rhinebeck
I was at the R/C Jamboree too. That was my 1/4 scale Loening monoplane on display. The Mid-Hudson club folks did their usual great job of organizing and running the show. It would be a great pity not to be able to look forward to this meet every year even if I can't make it at times. My wife, who is not much of an enthusiast, really loved watching everything that flew and especially the R/C models. There were many 1/3 scale models and they make a great presentation. I think this show has really made her a fan. There is no question that Rhinebeck needs to be preserved and expanded and in my opinion made into more of an "aero park". In other words, the kind of place that would take more than one day to walk through so people would have to stay locally. Maybe, adding a room to show movies that continuously run or run on some type of schedule. This could create some revenue for the town and of course help maintain the park and restorations. I am sure Cole would agree. Can't help but wonder what the existing management would do if someone stepped up and made an offer for the place and how much money it would really take? What kind of a "deal" are they looking for? I keep hearing people say there is "lack of Interest" in the subject and that is the reason for it dying a slow death. Cole didn't wait for interested people to come along. He made them get interested by bringing the show to them. Congratulations to all who risked the weather and made the Jamboree a success again.
