Enjoy seeing some of the Old Guard doing what they did best, the Cole Palen way.

That video is very moving and emotionally touching. Shows how different ORA is today, surly not in the sprint of Cole and Rita. Seems ORA mission statement has not been for-filled.
Thanks so much for sharing this. It did bring tears of joy to my eyes.

Thanks so much for the clip of Rhinebeck and the guys that try to keep the dreams alive. It's not like it used to be when Cole was alive, but the step back in time when you cross the bridge to the airfield is a feeling like no other. I thank you all!

Tazbat,
Thanks very much, you gave me an ear to ear smile watching that clip. The video captured my mind's eye memory of the first time I visited ORA many years ago. The light, the characters, even the planes that were featured, all as I remembered them. It was great!

Web Site Taken Down
As many of you know, we incorporated "Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, Inc." in New York State as a not-for-profit on 15 August 2006. That name had not been incorporated and so was available.
On 30 September we received a letter from an attorney representing Rhinebeck Aerodrome Museum informing us that Rhinebeck Aerodrome Museum had secured a US Trademark on "OLD RHINEBECK AERODROME" and so we are voluntarily closing down that web site and will transfer that domain name to Rhinebeck Aerodrome Museum to prevent any further assertion of trademark infringement.
We were granted the name by New York State Department of State and registered that domain name nearly two full years prior to Rhinebeck Aerodrome Museum receiving their trademark. We are confident that we would have prevailed in any legal action, but have chosen to not pursue that avenue.
We will be posting at another web site and will announce that web site here, on theaerodrome.com's Rhinebeck "trouble" thread.
Best wishes,
cfgray

A few months back I did ask why you left the Aerodrome, some time later you replied that you left in, I think it was, 1986. You also said that I didn't know much, which I did acknowledge, hence my asking why you left.
Again, out of curiosity, why did you leave?
You seem to have a great attachment to Rhinebeck
