Still stuck in 1972, This time Cole's Spad 13, I believe in the colors of Robert Soubiran of the 103rd Squadron. It's sitting in one of the hangers down on the field.
Sorry about the quality of these pix. They were taken by a young kid with a instamatic who thought he just died and went to heaven. I've been going to heaven ever since!!

These particular photos were all taken last summer. It seems everytime I visit ORA the runway gets wider and less wavy.

Those are terrific! My favorite of the five is the close-up of the Pusher. Wonder if that cannard pitch sent him into a dive(?)

Anybody remember when the evil Black Baron used to put poor Trudy in a balloon and drag her down the runway? After all these years, I have to confess that I was the "one" in the crowd that used to cheer for the Black Baron! (1974)
