There is nothing wrong with wishing. If no one had dreams it would be a much sadder world. There probably would never have been a Kitty Hawk in history.
Salute!

Hmm. Unless we find some more folks who will go in with us in the next few hours, we will just have to keep dreaming. If we were more like the Wright Brothers, Burt Rutan and Cole Palen, we'd be willing to take the risk and turn our Jenny dream into a wonderful reality.

Regarding the eBay Jenny....
....as long as it finds a loving home, that's what's important- more than if it is ours or not. I suppose the more it finally sells for, the more likely it will truly be valued. If we follow the auction, we will indeed see who wins it. We should email that person and invite them to join up here. If they do, then it will be as if we DID get it! Let's make friends!
Jim

Great idea, Jim! Doesn't look like our combined pledges are going to add up in the ballpark to compete, but maybe gypsymoth236k is willing to accept partners. Jim, would you do the honor of inquiring with him? Note: reserve hasn't been met yet. Let's not give up our hopes for a share in Jenny until the auction's over. Til then, someone with the ability to help us achieve our goal may come forward. The glass is half full!

I might be wrong, but there is a "gipsymoth236k" here at The Aerodrome, and I'm willing to bet it's the same person. His name is Gary Sewall, and he owns a - you guessed it - DH.60 Gipsy Moth. It's an absolutely beautiful aeroplane - www.gipsymoth.com.
If that Moth is any indication, the Jenny would be in excellent hands.

Your right Eric, it is a beautiful DH.60 and Porshce, too. Good researching. It looks like gipsymoth236K lives in CA, like around San Francisco Bay.
It would be a good home for a Jenny. We will not have long to see what is going to happen on the bidding.

Ebay Jenny
The Jenny owner just contacted me via email and said he would contact me after the auction closes and let me know what the reserve price is. Of course, that is providing it didn't meet the reserve before then.
Stay tuned!
Salute!
