Not me. Doubtful anyone else is either. Keep on bringing 'em on!

Thanks for the kind comments and emails. I am trying to restrain myself a bit. B) I feel that sharing our photos is a great way to support Old Rhinebeck and maybe spark some interest from others not that familiar with ORA or early aviation. I have many great times there and am always glad to share them with all.

About the guy holding the coffe cup whilst pushing the Bleriot - I believe that was the late Rick Vogt.

Anyone remember when the Grumman Wildcat landed there? ...
I like the fond memories and fotos topic. I will look through the archives and see what I can put together. Putting them on the forum will be a real challenge - I probably shouldn't attempt it without supervision though.

rc-notyme and HERE CAT !!!,
Thanks for the supportive comments. Your good ORA memories and pics will be most welcome to the postings that have been coming in quickly in just the first few days.
Someone computer savvy should be coming forward soon to guide us through the ins and outs of posting our pics properly. You're not the only computerly-challenged out there. It appears there are many of us.
If you aren't ready to invest in a scanner, the foks at KINKOS can scan your photos (and assist with getting them onto the thread(s)).
Meanwhile, your caption assistace and/or positive ORA recollections are appreciated and encouraged.

For those of you interested, this months EAA-Vintage Aviation magazine has a very nice article, written by Ev Cassagneres, about Cole Palen and Gordon Bainbridge, and the very early days at the Aerodrome. It gives some insight into the real beginnings of ORA, and the type of person Cole was.
Great post! I remember hearing the prop of the FE hitting the logs, it's hard to describe, but it was LOUD! Or sitting in the the backseat of the VW Bug as my brother towed Cole and the glider down the runway, and upon release watch as he proceded to dive into the crowd! Crazy days!

Glad everyone is enjoying the photos! I know this is old hat for all the ORA regulars, but I've been getting some good vibes from some folks who have never been there. If If anyone wants a particular photo, let me know and I will scan it at a higher resolution and email it to you.
Here is one of my all time favorite planes from ORA. The Avro 504 in a inflight photo. (1993)
Salute to all,
Steve

Here is what it looked like last time I seen it, last September up in the WW1 museum hanger up the hill. Seeing it broke my heart. Unfortunately it had suffered a engine failure on takeoff in the spring. Anyone know if rebuilding has been started yet or is it on the backburner.
