Just a reminder to all you Canucks out there.Have you written to your M.P. yet to help save the hangars at Camp Borden from destruction? Come on guys, afterall this is the birthplace of the R.C.A.F. Do we really not give a damn about our aviation history? Cheers! John.

G'day John,

A similar thing is happening in Australia, Point Cook the spiritual home of the RAAF, is being sold off, this is after the Federal Govt. said they wouldn't, I know what a surprise, a politician lying.

The only good news is that the RAAF museum and surrounding buildings will remain there and still be open to the public.

Many forumites know of my families connection with Point Cook, my father was born in the caretakers cottage. This cottage was threatened with demolition because it fell outside the museums precinct, but thanks to the hard word of Steve & Susan Campbell-Wright, the RAAF is moving the cottage back to its original postion within the museums precinct and will be reopened as part of the museum hopefully early 2004.

Good luck with your endeavours in trying to save Camp Borden. I hope all the Canadians on this board lend their support.

Perhaps an email address of politician responsible posted here may lend some international support also.

Andrew.
