Does anyone know what the D.P.D. in "D.P.D. Ferry Pilot" stood for?

Mike; What service used these initials? Was it RFC, RNAS, or RAF?
What time period?
We might be able to narrow it down.
I thought, maybe, Delivery Pool.........
Dover Pool..
Depot-Pool-Depot... i:e, not allowed to deliver over the channel to Dunkirk, St Omer, etc. but could run a kite from Cranwell to Dover or something.

(No help at all, of course, but a reply at least.)

Hi Neville,

Date was early April 1918, so it was an RAF job. The pilot had previously been with the Air Department of the Admiralty, so presumably was a test pilot during the last days of the RNAS.
