I am trying to find the exact location of a farm called ‘Deceuninck’ just outside of Dixmude (Diksmuide) where an Albatros D.V was reported as having crashed on October 21, 1917, falling to a Belgian Air Service two-seater. Dixmude is the site of the infamous “Trench of Death” where the Belgian army held the Germans for four years. Deceuninck was probably south of the town because it was thought to have been behind Belgian lines.
