Hi Gunnar,
can't help with your burning question I'm afraid.
In English humour, a "nancy boy" was one who was of alternate sexuality, so to speak. It was used in the famous quote from the BBC comedy show "Allo Allo" - a show that would probably be deemed both racist and sexist these days.

"alternate sexuality" oder "Nancy boy" heißt "homosexuell" oder "schwül"

Udet also flew a Fokker D.II as well as at least two, possibly three Fokker D.III aircraft during this time.

[b] His report however dont identify his a/c as a Fokker DIII, it only says Fokker d.d. I have the complete report in German if You are interested..?
I dont knew what date the Reuter meldung was published, but in the German list of captured a/c for Oct 1916 are all crews from the nine aircraft identified...
The only Breguet without any s/n in this list are the Breguet flown by Rockey and Sturdee from 3 N Wing...

Hi again Gunnar
I experienced some computer-trouble the last weeks, therefore my late response...
Yes, I'm very interested in Udet's report!
The Reuter-Meldung was published on 20 Oct 1916.
BTW, I have the crew Rockey/Sturdee listed with Bréguet Nr. 534. The Germans were even able to list the S/N of the motor: 220 PS Renault Nr.5477. So most probably the aircraft fell intact in german hands

Interesting information Immo..!
There seems to be some discrepancys between the Reuter meldung and the list of captured aircraft....!
The list of captured aircraft was normally ready for publication the second week after a month "break"...
I have send You the Udet report in a separate mail...
However, the conclusion is that all Breguets were identified with serial numbers by the Germans, which make that the photo "must" be one of the two Farmans brought down in Flames by Kissenberth...!?

I have the RNAS losses as being:
Flight Lieutenant C D Newman and Gunlayer Vitty in Breguet Type V 9176. Brought down by anti-aircraft fire and taken prisoner.
Flight Sub-Lieutenant J S N Rockey and Gunlayer Sturdee in Breguet Type V 9181; both PoW.
Flight Sub-Lieutenant C H Butterworth in Sopwith Strutter 9660; wounded and taken prisoner.

Hi all,
thanks to Greg VanWyngarden, who told me about an article by Kiliani in Zeidelhack's "Bayerische Flieger im Weltkrieg" ( which escaped my attention completely ), we can look now on some of the planes brought down by the Germans during the Oberdorf raid. Thanks very much Greg!
This is the Bréguet brought down by Udet over Rüstenhart:
