Let's see if I can figure out how to post a photo. Took this one from the wing of Bill's Tiger Moth at 3000ft over ORA.

A wing-walker? Well, sort of. The attached photo should give you a clue.
Actually, I meant to post the photos on the Cole Palen site, but ended up starting a new topic instead of posting a reply. I'll probably keep posting photos of Bill here, but I have a lot of other photos of ORA from the 12 yrs I was there, & I'll post them on the Cole Palen site as I scan them onto my computer.
The l1693 comes from the 1st initial of my 1st name & the model# of the Cat engine in one of my trucks from my trucking days.
Oh yeah, not a very flattering picture. The wind does that! Actually, I look like Pierce Brosnan.(and I may someday get my wife to believe that!).

Oh, I get it! You jump off of perfectly good aeroplanes!

Well then, that should be easy enough for all of us to remember!

Pierce Brosnan? Uh, no. Sean Connery! - You could be his twin brother!!

So sorry that the image link isn't working correctly, but it is a picture of Sean Connery that looks exactly like yours! You'll just have to believe me. B)

l1693 - even though you did not intend to start a separate thread, it is a very deserving homage to a great pilot and mentor. Your photos are fantastic, and I have enjoyed watching you jump for years.
The following photo are Three King's in formation. Bill King flys the 1918 Curtiss Jenny restored by Ken Cassen. Bill's two sons fly alongside him. David flys Bill's DeHavilland Tiger Moth and Andrew flys his 1926 Ryan M-1.

I made over 200 jumps at ORA from 1990 till the spring of 2002. Most of those were from Bill's Tiger Moth. Although all of the pilots were very good,(with one exception, a few years ago), Bill was definitely the most precise when it came to timing the jump run & in putting me where I wanted to be for my jump. He is very dedicated to opening the show on time so that the show progresses as planned.
This photo was taken just after take off to the south, as we were turning east.

Terrific photos and stories, l1693 ! Any chance you can cut and paste these posts into our other photo album? Sure would love to have them over there.
Yes, thank you for all your dedicated jumps at ORA!
Did you take the camera with you when you left the plane?
Spad 13,
Great shot and caption!

Thank You both for your kind words about myself & my photos.
I'll look into the scrapbook this weekend. If there is room I would like to post higher res photos. The current ones I scanned at 96 dpi. Good for online viewing, but if anyone wants to make a print, or bring out more detail, higher res would be better.
And, yes, I did take the camera with me on some jumps.
