Pang's thread about where to sell some WW1 items brought up the topic of a feature to allow members to post items for sale or to post notices of items wanted - an Aerodrome's classified feature, so to speak.
I would think that there would be a lot of interest among this group for such a feature, perhaps even just a link to another related site that could serve that function. We probably all have stuff we don't want, and other stuff we want but don't have and can't find. I think in general that WW1 aviation specific items seem to be so hoplessly buried in sites like eBay and Barnstormers that it's almost not worth it.
Perhaps some feature with a commission to the Aerodrome when transactions occur (could even be an honor system) would benefit the members and the site itself, both financially and by increasing activity.
What do you think, moderators and members?????????

Also have tons of stuff and spares and duplicates. Only suggestion I'd make is a Sell, Swap, Seek section with those three subsections. If it were my website, I'd limit the posts to say six or ten items per mo. per person, to eliminate extensive book & model lists.
There was a post from admin on Feb 24 in Suggestions section, saying that Sell swap seek was. "coming soon." Perhaps it is just around the corner..

I support this idea! This new section should include the stuff for all the modellers, too.

I agree, Volker. I did not mean to give the impression that I thought books and models should be excluded. I only meant it might be a good idea to limit the number of items posted so there are not long lists with one person posting long lists with hundreds of books or models, or parts at the same time..

Well, I came here first assuming that there would be a place to post items, so put me down for a "yes".

I am in for a yes! I hate Trolling through Hyperscale trying to find any WW1 stuff Listed!! I think it should be done. If registration is required to hold down the Number of Bogus and Bad traders, I have NO Problem!!!!

Hello all,
I've started a topic on the suggestions board here to see if we can get admin to put this one to the top of the bumf pile and get something happening sharpish.
Feel free to put your 2p/2c worth in there to get them to hurry this along a bit.
Cheers,
Junior.
