'03 Springfield
This month's "American Rifleman" magazine has an article about 1903 Springfields that were modified especially for use in WW I aircraft. Has anyone else read it. If so, what's your take on it?

Kirby,
I read the article but I don't think theres much to say. The varient was made for a nonexistent requirement as part of Americas frenzied efforts to darken the skies. It wasn't much use and most were destroyed or reconverted. The most remarkable thing about it is that it created a very rare varient. Best regards, Terry |
