Interesting License Plate

While waiting at a traffic light in Eatontown, New Jersey on 16 December, I noticed the license plate of the car in front of me read: "MVR 11J"

Coincidence or one of us? I wonder...

I used to see an old family friend driving around town, Baron von Tiesenhausen, with the number of his U-Boat on it, U 331. Then I ran into a guy last year out of town who had the plate "Rommel". I asked him about it and it turned out he is the nephew of the Field Marshal.

It doesn't have to be valuable, to enjoy collecting... Here is a "real" registration plate (as opposed to the novelty plates you can have made at gift ships) that was gifted to me by Walt Burton, co-author of "The Wright Brothers Legacy."
