Moulin De Laffaux, 6 November 1917.

Can anyone accurately locate this area for me (MOULIN DE LAFFAUX, 6 NOVEMBER 1917.)? It would have been in the French Sector in France, somewhere in the Amiens Front area. Reportedly, some test flights of airplane ambulances took place there, and I would like to have some idea as to location and which units would have been flying from that field. I can't find it in any of my references, or on any of my maps. Thanks for the help. Doc

Hi Doc,

It was in the Picardie near the Chemin des Dames. Some pics here :

In Dutch with a map of the area and further area.

Best from Johan

Thanks, Johan-- That helps. Do you have any information on the location of a flying field there, or what units might have been flying in that area? Doc
