31 T D S Royston, Herts?
The WW2 record of Roger Sayer Fleming NICKOLL shows his WW1 service as a 2nd Lt, flying instructor at 31 T D S (or T A S rough writing ),Royston, Herts. 1917-1919 period. 250-300 hours approx. Instructing on DH4, DH6, DH9, Bristol Fighters.
Types flown,BE2E, BE2C, DH4, DH6 DH9 DH9A, Bristol Fighter. What means TDS? What sort of establishments were at Royston Herts? |
