Distance and Time
On 15 October 1916, 41 Sqdn. RFC arrived on the Western Front for the first time, when they flew from Gosport to St. Omer in three flights of six aircraft. Could someone give me an idea what the distance is between the two airfields (in miles if poss.), the route most likely taken, and possibly make a rough estimate of the time it may have taken to fly the distance in an F.E.8.
After a week in St. Omer, the squadron moved north-east to Abeele. Could someone possibly also give me a distance and flying time between these two airfields, as well, please?
Thanks and regards
Steve
