Bulgarian Air Force

Are there any websites covering the topic of the Bulgarian Air Force or service or even Bulgarian Forces at large

you could try this one as a starter: -
http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/balkandave/frmcon.htm
its a general Balkan Military History website.
There are Bulgarian AF sites, but I don't have any urls for them; try googling for 'Bulgarian Air force' or 'Balkan Wars'

While not a web site, there was a series of three (I think) books about the Bulgarian Air Force. I found them about three years ago and purchased the one pertaining to the WWI era, but I know there were others.

A Web Site is free, of course, but these books really seemed to cover the subject well. They were not expensive, and were thin softcovers in horizontal format. I am at work, not at home, so I cannot tell you the exact name, publisher, ISBN etc but you might want to consider them if a good web site is not found.

The booklet is attractive with lots of good photos. There are some errors in captions and aircraft IDs in there, however.

The LVG C.IIs shown in photos are actually B.IIs
The Fokker 80 h.p. machines are actually Fokker E.III w/ 100 h.p.

Thanks for the Balkan Military link, John. I'll be off to Croatia for the month of May in just a few weeks and plan on certainly visiting the areas discussed plus some others. Good information.

From the Factory Travel Bureau,
John

Yes, Jos, those are the ones.

Sorry it took so long, I hadn't checked this thread for ages.
