La Ferté Bei Verdun

Hello everyone,

I came across this location, but I could not find it on a modern day map. Does anyone recognize this place and where exactly it is (was) in the Verdun region?

regards,

Darren

La Ferté bei Verdun?

wingedwarrior:
I tried to find a La Ferté near Verdun, and have not been successful. I tried the German Road Atlas and it has 11 La Ferté listed. what is needed is the rest of the name,i.e., La Ferté-sur-Aube. I also tried the French "Dictionnaire des Communes" and no luck.
Blue skies,

Hi Dan,

I rechecked my source, and it just states 'La Ferté bei Verdun'. It seems to be incorrect. Does La Ferté mean anything significant in French?

regards,

Darren
