West-Flanders in aerial photo's

For those of you who might be interested, you can see the whole province of West-Flanders in aerial photo's. You can even pick a street in a village...

Go to :

http://www.giswest.be/gisbr/

In the left column you will see Webservices - Orthofoto's, click it, and you will see a photograph of the whole province. To get details you go to Gemeente, which means village, choose the village, and eventually the Street (which is called Straat)

If the location exists, you will get a great aerial view of the place

Best from Johan

BTW, these are the modern views, nothing from the WW I period, but may be interesting to get an idea on a former airfield or other military location, places where planes crashed, etc...

Very cool, Johan. I love maps, of all kind. The more detailed the better. Thanks for the link!
