Photos and descriptions of "insides of German hangars"...
I don't know if I'm beating a dead horse here or not... And I beg all of you to forgive me if I am. But I was wondering if anyone is aware of any photographs taken of the insides of German hangars? Detailed descriptions of the hangars interiors would be greatly appreciated as well! Your input, Gentlemen?

VonReichel- Have a photo of the interior of a Jasta 37 hangar with Ernst Udet's Albatros in it. Also have a photo of a crowded Jasta 19 hangar full of Alb D.IIs from the National Museum of the USAF's Arthur Rahn collection if you are interested. You have probably seen the Udet photo since it is widely published.

VonReichel- I am not big on posts because the resolution is so low. Send me a private message or an e-mail with your e-mail address and I will send you images good enough to print and save. I love high resolution images. If we could get some of the great collections scanned, we would all have access to data we can now only dream about. All my albums are scanned somewhere between 600 and 2000 dpi, and only non-aviation or other people's photos are at 600 dpi.

VonReichel- Keep thinking you are in Germany where it is 3am or so. I will be at work tomorrow and will zap you the photos. There are over 200 in Rahn's albums so let me know if you have any special requests other than hangars.

Taz, mein Freund... I've received the images that you sent and they are Wunderbar! A very kind offer as well... Thank you! If I think of some more photographs I'll be sure and let you know! By the way, in one of the images that you sent (outside of the hangar) there was also shown, not one... but three Deutsch Opel Army trucks. I believe Regulus has recently posted a thread regarding German vehicles in TGW... You may want to drop him a line with regards to the above mentioned photo... Just a thought.
One more thing, mein Freund... The hangar photos that you sent me are of solid structures. I don't suppose you have any photographs of the tent hangars that Germany used to employ at the more rural aerodromes? Love to see them if you've got them! Again, many thanks my friend! I'll have to figure out how I can return the favor!

VonReichel- Will look. Have only a miniscule collection compared to Peter Grosz, Greg VanWyngarden, Alex Imrie, or Manfred Thiemeyer but I keep trying. Have not found the Jasta 37 scan. Will have to redo Monday. Have some other images with trucks and Dan-San Abbott was collecting data on Lastwagens, so might be worth asking. Feel free to pass Regulus the National Museum of the USAF scans with the normal credit info for the Museum.

A great many thanks, Taz... I do appreciate it! And I'll be sure and pass the photographs on to Regulus for his enjoyment as well. "Hals und Beinbruch", mein Freund!
