Hi,
Militaria shops, not really much to see or find.
At Ypres you have the Shell Hole run by John Woolsgrove, a vet from the Falklands war. Mostly books but he also has very often some great militaria items.
The Hooghe Crater museum (Ypres) also sometimes sells some militarie items, but mostly small ones. Every 3rd sunday from the month there's a militaria happening not far away from it in a café. Interesting items every time.
For books you can go to De krijger in the Dorpsstraat at Erpe-Mere, Dutch, but mostly English books, but also ones in German, French etc, starting from the time of the cavemen till today.
In Ypres there's still one small personnel barrack of British origine, at Jabbeke there are the only two remaining German barracks of WW I which were part of ammo dump.
Remains from bunkers or concrete parts of aerodromes at for example Jabbeke aerodrome, Scheldewindeke aerodrome. 2 bunkers can stil be found at Uitkerke aerodrome, many remain around Menin aerodrome, one concrete building at Ingelmunster aerodrome, remains of a bunker at Markebeke, that's about it.
Brussels air museum has some great WW I planes, originals, that is.
Best from Johan
