Exclamation Black September References

I am after some details on Allied and German operations during the "Black September" period.

Particulalry, I am after what Squadrons & Jastas were involved in the thickest fighting, their aircraft, what airfields they used, principal targets and general topographic features in the area.

Has anybody got the details to hand or point me toward any handy references (paper or online)?

Many thanks for your assistance

Tas

"Bloody April and Black September" by N. Franks and another author (sorry) is at my local library, Bassendean Public Library here in WA. You can probably get it on transfer through your local library. Mine has got me some great loans from the Australian Armed Forces Library amongst others. The book is a more or less blow by blow, day by day account of the two months' air fighting.

Paul,

If you go to the book section of this great site, you will find most titles of the series :

http://theaerodrome.com/books/index....=list&cat_id=1

Above Flanders Fields, Above the War Fronts, Above the Lines, Above the Trenches, the Jasta Pilots, The Jasta war Chronology, The Sky Their Battlefield, Casualties of the German Air Service,... are just a few of the great titles, that will learn you instantly a large part of WW I aviation. Rick and Dan-San are working on the Schusta/Schlasta units, and many other forumites here have a large number of WW I books on their credit.

Great magazines are Over the Front, Cross and Cockade, Propellerblatt to name a few...

The contributors are also for a large part members of this forum.

Best from Johan
