Question German Single-Seated Bomber Squadrons?

Gentlemen!

Who could tell me about the German 6th and 1a single-seated bomber squadrons that Feldwebelleutnant Karl Deinhart (later Generalleutnant of the Luftwaffe) had flown with? I never heard about them. Source is from Axis Biographical Research (Luftwaffe Generals). Deinhart had flown with the 6th from 04 Jan.1917 to 25 Feb.1917 and 1a from 26 Feb.1917 to 20 Nov.1918.

Sincerely,

Edward

Hi Edward

Offst Karl David (his true name during WW1) actually flew within Kest 6 then Kest 1a*. The ppl who have translated Hildbrandts books to the net have chosen to translate the name of the units, which I think is a big mistake...

*the Kests (Kampfeinsitzerstaffeln) were like Jastas and were mostly used for home defence protection...also Kest 1 was still not divided into two units when David joined "the" unit in early 1917, which means that Kest 1a still not was created...
