Aerodrome of Kest 4 b / May 1918

Hi,

I'd like to learn, where was Kest 4 b's aerodrome in May 1918. And how much action did this unit see... how often was it in action above the south-west of Germany, the "Black Forrest" (Schwarzwald?).

I am asking this to learn more about the unit, in which Heinrich Büssing was serving, when he died in May 1918. Does anyone know something about his crash on 12 May 1918 - KIAcc?

Thorsten

Thorsten, I have KEST 4b stationed at Freiburg in May 1918. AFAIK Büssing was KIC. R.

I believe Peter Kilduff did an article on this for Over The Front back in 1989-90, or 91 on this. Well detailed piece.
