What are your plans to celebrate the upcoming 100th year of powered flight? Personally I am planning to do a 1/16th scale diorama featuring a JN4c Jenny. I have not yet decided on whether to do it as a WW1 era piece or as a postwar barnstormer.Cheers! John.

Hmm, that will be continuing the construction of part of the Jabbeke aerodrome with planes of the various units that were stationed overthere in WW I. I have the luxuary situation that I only have to finish it before October 2004.
But there is also the diorama on the Seeflugstation Flandern II at Oostende which I still have to start building !
So little time !

My Gallery
I'll be showing (and selling) my work at THE First Flight Centennial Celebration in Kitty Hawk, NC. I'll be set up in a retail space across from Jockey's Ridge, 5 miles from Kill Devil Hill (if you want to see what Kill Devil Hill looked like in 1903, visit Jockey's Ridge). Anyone who is planning on attending the celebration is invited to come by and visit me.

Hi again,

And with some luck I may be publishing another photobook on the German Naval Air Service at the Western Front.
Have now 20 pages of the new book completely finished.
Almost 2/3 of the book will be on the early years of the MFFA at Nieuwmunster aerodrome 1915-1916 and much new material on the Seeflugstations, with a big thanks to Greg VanWyngaerden in this last case !

Hello:

I am starting my celebration of the 100th anniversary a bit early, by taking my Cub Pack on a sleepover at the Canada Aviation Museum on Dec. 12.

Hi John:

I am certainly looking forward to it. One of the benefits of being a Leader is the chance to indulge some of your own fantasies.
