Question crash photograph

Any ideas from forumites about this photograph of a pilot being carried from his wrecked machine in what appears to be a German sector?

A shot in the dark, as it's hard to see the details:

Are those german navy uniforms? Is the British pilot wearing Royal Navy rank badges on his sleeve? Both look like they could be...

Also, the ground looks sandy - a beach with a tree-lined esplanade behind it?
If so, possibly Belgian Coast?

Just three 'maybe's' for you.

Bob

Hello,

this is very likely HP0/100 nr.3132 of 214 Sqn, shot down by AA near Bruges on 16/5/1918.
Casualties were Captain Rushton, Major Harrison and Lt King, now buried far from the crash near Ypres.

Regards,

Cnock
