RFC Box Camera's

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for information to pertaining equipment that would have been used to take aerial photographs from a Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter.

Of particular interest would be pictures or diagrams that show the exterior appearance and design of such a camera. Also of interest would be photographs or diagrams that show where and how they were mounted to the aircraft.

Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely

Edward

Quite a large number of knowledgable photographers and collectors over at photo.net might have answers concerning the cameras, but I doubt they can help you with info on mountings.

I was hoping for covert reconnaisance of 'Thelma's Nude and Natural Life Park' via vertical aerial photography.
Now that this sortie is overt and not covert, all findings will be shared via the forum.
