Several years back a sleletal frame of a Sopwith Camel was found wedged into a cragg not far from Montrose, Scotland one of the oldest airfields in Great Britain. *Did anything come of the identity of the skeletal pilot still found to be strapped into his wicker seat...?

No - haven't heard anything about that one, maybe it's another one of the Montrose legends? Have u been on their website? Go to any search engine and just type in montrose airfield/aerodrome/air station, etc, and it'll take u to one of their links. I wonder if they've even heard about it themselves at montrose!

Certainly, the subject came up about 8 years ago and I was intouch with them then. The first time I read anything about it was when I wrote my first piece for C&C Intl. and it was being discussed there. Seems like anyone who had any immediate knowledge about it then has 'gone west.'
