Fighter Pilot Memorial Geisenheim - Germany

Hi,

Can anyone tell me with certitude what kind of birds are on top of this memorial. Personally I think it would be logical that it would be eagles, but there seems to be some discussion about this...

Nou Johan,

Ik weet eerlijk gezegd nog niet hoeveel toestellen hebben toegezegd want ik doe zelf de organisatie ervan niet (Ik ben druk genoeg met de D VII) maar ik zal morgen even vragen hoe de vork in de steel zit.
Het zullen voornamelijk Tigermoths, Stearmans en Jungmanns zijn denk ik.
Wel weet ik dat je op die dag rondvlughten kunt maken met de Antonov van het Aviodrome. Ook zijn wij iederjaar aanwezig in Schaffen-Diest om weer even de prijs voor het oudste toestel op te pikken
Als je me morgen even meelt anders vergeet ik het misschien.
