Air raid on Conflans, May 30,1918.
As per the title of the thread, British aircraft bombed the railroad (yard?) at Conflans the last day of May , 1918. On their return they were scheduled to rendezvous with scouts from the 94th and 95th aero squadrons over Thaicourt and the Americans were to fly cover for the last leg of the mission.
The USAS Nieuports became engaged with attacking Fokker and Albatross fighters and evidently became occupied with the immediate problem at hand. What of the British bombers?
Is there information of the British force engaged and how they fared? How about the idenity of the attacking German forces?
Thanks.
