Hi,

According to 'America's First Eagles', there was a halt to bombing missions October 19 -22 due to rain clouds. I do know that observation units continued to fly, as the 24th, 1st, and 90th Observation Squadrons all made claims on this day. I haven't pinpointed any losses yet. What desciption of the two-seater do you have?

regards

According to The Sky Their Battlefield -

DH-4 "D-4" of US-FMAF and flown by 1st Lt H C Norman and 1st Lt C W Taylor took off at 08:40 on a bombing raid to Melle. It was engaged by anti-aircraft fire and attacked by three EA over Ghent, crashing near the Bruges-Ghent Canal. Norman and Taylor were both killed.

Thanks.

I was searching for any potential victims of Jasta 13 on this day. Lt. Franz Büchner and Lt. Niethammer claimed each a "twoseater" on this day. I could not link the claims with French or British losses. Sadly, no further info available.
