Hi,

We know that 269 was at Varsenare, thanks to Rick. I suspect 231 was also.
Any proof of that ?

Thanks and best from Regulus

Seems I did make a small mistake. It concerns of course FA A231 and FA A269, this to clarify things a little.
Does anyone know something more on as who the CO's were at the summer/fall of 1917 ?

Thanks and best from Regulus

Hi Regulus

Regarding the Saxon FAA 231 it seems obvious that Hptm Walter von Teubern hold the command until 20 Nov 1917.
He was pre-war pilot but also an observer(?)....
He had earlier served in another Saxon unit, FFA 29.
He also had a brother who flew as an observer in "Immelmanns" FFA 62...

Perhaps our Saxon friend Rammjäger can give some further information on him..?

???

Gunnar,

As an Oblt. in FFA 29, 1Aug14 - (Nov15)
As a Hptm. FA 231(A) C.O. * * * * - *20Nov17
FBS Warschau C.O. * * 20Nov17 *- *
