Hi,

One of these units that was active in Belgium seems to have been the Flg. Hallen Bautrupp 49. I was wondering if anyone knows how many of these units existed and also when these units appeared for the first time, when the first ones were established in other words.

Thanks and best from Regulus

hello!
I see no recation came in...
Try once to mail to John Provan, Kelkheim.
Can't garantee succes, but he is a specialist into "(German) airshipssheds" for more...also those built German WWI airshipssheds in Belgium, Evere, St. Aghatha Berchem, Gontrode, Namur (3), they had groups to construct them! Perhaps he knows however also about this subject?
He has an extended home library!
e-mail address is : JohnProvan@t-online.de
Jempie/Jean-Pierre Lauwers...

My Gallery
regulus:
On 5 April 1916, two Hallenbau Kompanie, Nr.1 and 2 were form. Theses two were later organized into Hallen-Bau Truppen, numbers unknown. On 17 April 1917 a Bayern Flieger-Bau-Batallion was formed.
These organizatons built the wood sheds for aircraft and offices.
The aircraft sheds built by the Hallen-Bau Truppen had plain fronts, those built by the Bayern-Flieger-Bau-Truppen had the truss on the front roof.
Blue skies,
Dan-San
